Launch your own Supabase backend in minutes with a fully managed deployment and 24/7 expert support.

In today’s competitive software landscape, application teams need to move fast, without compromising on security, scalability, or data control. That’s why many developers are turning to Supabase, a full-featured, open-source backend-as-a-service (BaaS) platform that provides everything from database and authentication to storage and real-time functionality. It's a popular open-source alternative to Firebase.

But setting up Supabase in your own cloud environment requires significant effort: managing Docker containers, configuring TLS certificates, enabling PostgreSQL backups, and optimizing performance for production traffic.

That’s where Meetrix comes in.

We offer a ready-to-deploy Supabase stack for AWS that gives you all the benefits of Supabase Cloud, but hosted in your account, fully secured, and supported 24/7 by experts.

What Is Supabase?

Supabase is an open-source backend platform that replicates Firebase’s core features, but with the transparency and flexibility of a self-hosted model built on PostgreSQL.

Supabase provides:

  • A relational PostgreSQL database with REST and GraphQL API
  • Authentication with email/password, social logins, and OAuth
  • Real-time subscriptions using PostgreSQL replication
  • Secure object storage with role-based access
  • Serverless functions for custom backend logic
  • Admin dashboard (Studio) for managing your project

With Supabase, you get modern backend capabilities without black-box restrictions or lock-in.

Self-Hosted Supabase vs. Supabase Cloud

Supabase Cloud is great for early-stage prototyping, but many teams choose self-hosting for:

  • Regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2)
  • Full data control and infrastructure visibility
  • VPC networking, IAM integration, and custom monitoring
  • Predictable infrastructure costs with no user-based pricing
  • Extending, modifying, or integrating with existing systems

Meetrix’s self-hosted deployment gives you all this, without the complexity. If you're weighing the two options in more depth, our guide to self-hosted Supabase security covers the tradeoffs.

What Does Meetrix Provide?

We deliver a turnkey Supabase deployment that installs all essential components and configures your environment for production-readiness.

Included:

  • Supabase services: PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, Studio - all from the open-source Supabase stack
  • Secure HTTPS access with NGINX reverse proxy
  • IAM-ready infrastructure and firewall best practices
  • PostgreSQL optimization for performance and backups
  • Optional logging, monitoring, and autoscaling
  • 24/7 expert support and optional consulting

How to Self-Host Supabase on AWS

Self-hosting Supabase on AWS with Meetrix takes three steps:

  1. Launch the AMI: Find the Meetrix Supabase listing on AWS Marketplace and launch the CloudFormation stack. It provisions the EC2 instance, installs the Supabase stack (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, Studio), and sets up the NGINX reverse proxy automatically.
  2. Point your domain: Create an 'A' record in your DNS provider pointing your domain to the instance's public IP. An SSL certificate is issued automatically once DNS resolves.
  3. Access Supabase Studio: Open your domain in a browser to reach the Supabase Studio admin dashboard, where you manage your database, auth settings, and storage buckets.

The full walkthrough, including instance sizing and backup configuration, is in our Supabase Developer Guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as Supabase Cloud?

No. This is a self-hosted deployment of the open-source Supabase stack, hosted in your own AWS account.

Is Supabase hosted on AWS?

Supabase Cloud runs on its own managed infrastructure, not AWS. With Meetrix, you self-host the open-source Supabase stack inside your own AWS account instead, so it runs on AWS while you keep full control.

Is Supabase Studio included?

Yes. You’ll get full access to the browser-based Supabase admin interface over HTTPS.

Can I scale this setup?

Yes. The infrastructure is designed to support vertical and horizontal scaling. We can assist with load balancing, backups, and multi-region setups.

Can I migrate from Supabase Cloud?

Yes. We can help you move your database, storage, and auth settings from Supabase Cloud to your self-hosted environment. See our Supabase Cloud migration guide for the full process.

Is Supabase open source?

Yes. Supabase is an open-source backend platform, which is what makes self-hosting it on your own AWS account possible in the first place.
